Welcome to Goddesses & Gods Cosmetics

My name is Tina Silva, and I am the founder and CEO of Goddesses & Gods Cosmetics. I hold an Associate in Science and a certificate as a medical technologist. For years, I created skincare products for patients in hospice care—many with cancer or HIV—in the Bronx, New York, offering gentle, therapeutic formulations to people facing incredible hardship. Even before hardship struck, skincare had become my passion and my purpose.

"The essence of our name"

I named the company in honor of Reverend Ike (Dr. Frederick J. Eikerenkoetter II), the celebrated prosperity preacher known for teaching that "God is in you," a cornerstone of his philosophy. He proclaimed that your inner divine presence is your true source of health, happiness, success, and prosperity. When I watched one of his old sermons on YouTube, it transformed me—  Corinthians 3:16 asks, "Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?"  That question—and his belief that God lives within us—sparked the creation of Goddesses & Gods Cosmetics. His message made me realize I could access that divine spark within me to rebuild, thrive, and heal.

That moment sparked the divine idea: Goddesses & Gods Cosmetics. Reverend Ike’s words, especially his teaching that "God is in you," became the soul of this company. Inspired by 1 Corinthians 3:16, our founder began to see herself not as a failure—but as a temple. I realized that if the Spirit of God dwells within me, then I could rise again—not just for herself, but for every woman, every man, and every soul who ever felt invisible. That’s why this brand exists: to celebrate your divine essence and to remind you that beauty, healing, and power all start within.

My journey was full of hardship. I had owned my home in Atlanta for ten years. During the COVID pandemic, I lost my job, and my house was foreclosed and auctioned off—I was forced to leave when the sheriff showed up. I became homeless. I lost everything: my personal belongings, business equipment, and family keepsakes—all in a storage unit I couldn’t keep. Near that time, I heard the story of someone who lost his mother’s ashes because he couldn’t pay his storage fees, which devastated me. It became a revelation—and a turning point.

Through that darkness, my daughter Sara was steadfast. She is my anchor in rocky water. She watched me fall and helped me rise. I invited her into my effort as my lab assistant, and she is being prepared to lead our Cosmetics & Makeup Department. Sara’s passion, her knowledge, and her creative mind—deeply inspired by Pat McGrath—are the living face of our future.

My community literally carried me when I had nothing. Friends, neighbors, faith leaders, and strangers poured belief into me until I believed again. Their love became a promise: when I rose, I would create pathways for others to rise too. That promise became the soul of our flagship initiative:

In Georgia, an estimated 10,700 people experience homelessness on any given night—with more than 50% sleeping unsheltered, including in cars or on the streets. In Atlanta, a recent count registered nearly 2,894 people experiencing homelessness, with family homelessness rising 14% despite efforts to house unsheltered individuals. Many live in their cars or unsafe encampments, with no support for maintaining storage units. When unhoused people fall behind on storage payments—even briefly—facilities often auction off their contents, erasing vital belongings like IDs, family heirlooms, medical records, or even the only remnant of their past.

To disrupt this injustice, a portion of every sale at Goddesses & Gods Cosmetics goes toward the Storage Saved Fund, helping people in Atlanta pay overdue storage when they have no other options. It preserves dignity, identity, and resilience while they rebuild.
